This may be the most lightweight table design we've seen. Large enough to serve as a dining table, the Baguettes rectangular design by Studio Bouroullec is made up of two parts only: a die cast aluminum base and a wooden top. The design focused on the structure - to use as little aluminum as possible - resulted in a highly rigid yet lightweight base. This produced an unexpected visual effect - this amazing table looks like its heavy top is only supported by four chopstick-looking feet.
