Transparent Furniture by Poltrona Frau

When was the last time you have seen an x-ray image of your furniture? Probably never…

Well, the designers from Poltrona Frau have made the leap at this year’s Milan design week and allowed the viewers to see right into their collection by exhibiting sofas and armchairs with covers made from transparent PVC material. And you can actually see the whole wire structure underneath.

Featuring steel springs armrests, backs and seats and frames made of beech painted white to ensure a high quality “stuffing”, these pieces of transparent furniture celebrate timeless beauty in a shell.

A real modern-art facility, the transparent furniture by Poltrona Frau was among the most unusual novelties shown in this year’s exhibition program.

Now you can search for the genuine “soul” of modern furnishing at Poltrona Frau.
